( 01 ) — beliefs

We run on stated beliefs. Here are twenty of them.

Read them before you call. If they sound like things you've been saying for years — hello, we should talk. If they annoy you, we're not your firm. That's the point.

  1. 01

    "Problem" isn't a bad word.

Say it: "I have a problem." We denounce anyone who substitutes it — "it's not a problem, it's a challenge." A problem is a problem, period. We focus on fixing or improving.

  2. 02

Every owner worth their salt is carrying a list of problems in their head

    — and going to sleep with them. We focus on the ones that don't get solved. The ones that stick around for months or years.

  3. 03

A problem named precisely is half solved.

Most companies can't fix their problem because they've never once stated it in a single, plain sentence. draft

  4. 04

A problem that has survived three years has a defender.

Somewhere in the building, someone benefits from it staying broken. Find them first. draft

  5. 05

Consultants sell decks. A deck never fixed anything.

If the engagement ends with a presentation instead of a working fix, you bought a souvenir. draft

  6. 06

The boring fix that ships beats the elegant fix that doesn't.

We will choose ugly-and-working over impressive-and-pending every single time. draft

  7. 07

Automating a broken process gets you broken results, faster.

Software is an amplifier, not a repairman. Fix the wire first, then electrify it. draft

  8. 08

    "Best practices" are average practices.

They're what everyone else does. What's best is what works in your shop, with your people, at your volume. draft

  9. 09

    Incremental compounds. Transformation stalls.

Ten small fixes that stick will outrun one grand reinvention that dies in month three. draft

  10. 10

If it isn't measured, it gets argued about.

Opinions fill the vacuum where numbers should be. We put the number on the table first. draft

  11. 11

If everyone is accountable, no one is.

Every fix we deliver has one name attached to it. One. draft

  12. 12

Meetings are where problems go to hide.

A problem discussed weekly for a year wasn't being worked on. It was being visited. draft

  13. 13

Hope is not a plan, and "we'll see" is not a decision.

Deferring a decision is a decision — usually the most expensive one available. draft

  14. 14

Done is a date, not a feeling.

"Almost done" has no meaning. We commit to calendar dates and we hit them or we say why, early. draft

  15. 15

    Complexity is a cost center.

Every exception, workaround, and special case is a recurring invoice your business pays forever. Simplicity is earned, not decorated. draft

  16. 16

Most "people problems" are process problems wearing a costume.

Before you replace the person, look at the wire you handed them. draft

  17. 17

The answer is usually already in the building.

Your business has been telling you what's wrong for years. We listen to machines, ledgers, and the people closest to the work — in that order of honesty. draft

  18. 18

    You can't delegate understanding.

The owner doesn't need to do the work, but an owner who no longer understands the work is a passenger. draft

  19. 19

We'd rather lose you on day one than disappoint you in month six.

Saying "no" early is the cheapest service we offer. We turn down work that doesn't fit, and clients who don't agree with what's on this page. draft

  20. 20

Turn-key means we hand you the key.

If you still need us for the same problem a year later, we didn't solve it — we moved in. Bolt it on, prove it works, hand it over, leave. draft

( 02 ) — who we work with

We're for a narrow kind of owner. On purpose.

  1. 01

Owners and principals of privately held companies doing $8M–$100M.

Big enough to have real wires — orders, estimates, production, payroll. Small enough that one person can still decide. draft

  2. 02

Operators who can say "I have a problem" out loud.

If you made it through the twenty beliefs without flinching, that's a good sign. draft

  3. 03

People who read what we believe and mostly nodded.

Total agreement isn't required. Allergy is disqualifying. draft

  4. 04

Businesses where the problem has a number attached.

Scrap rate, quote turnaround, days-to-close, missed ship dates. If it can be measured, it can be moved. draft

  5. 05

Decision-makers who want it fixed more than they want it studied.

You've already lived with the problem for years. You don't need another year of analysis to know it's real. draft

( 02b ) — who we don't

And we'd rather tell you now than bill you later.

  1. 06

Startups still hunting for product–market fit.

You don't have wires yet; you have hypotheses. Come back when you're at $8M. draft

  2. 07

    The Fortune 500.

Committees, procurement portals, eighteen-month pilots. We'd suffocate in there — and so would the fix. draft

  3. 08

    Anyone shopping for a yes.

We've turned down work over disagreement about what the problem actually is. We will again. draft

  4. 09

    Buyers who want a deck.

We deliver fixes that run, not slideware. If you need forty pages before anyone touches anything, we're the wrong firm. draft

  5. 10

Owners who've already decided the problem is everyone but the process.

We trace the wire before we blame the people on it. If that offends, save us both the call. draft

Innovation is connection. We bridge the gap between complex infrastructure and human experience to turn vision into momentum.

We are an optimization firm. Not advice, not slideware, not isolated tools. We bolt working fixes onto the wires your business already runs on — sales, estimating, production, payments, the work itself — prove them against a number you agreed to, and hand you the key. Two ways in: deep Core Optimization, and tactical Boutique support for when you need us now.

Core Optimization is structural. We trace the wire end to end, fix what's been broken for years, prove it against your own numbers, and hand you the key. When the fix has to be built from scratch, that's Custom Application Development — the same promise, engineered end to end.

Boutique is different on purpose. Turnkey Problem-Solving, Corp-Sitting, GrayFone and "Do It Now" exist for the moments you need us now, or need us to stay — interim cover, a 24/7 line, hands on the ground inside a 25-mile Miami radius.

Core, we install and leave. Boutique, we're on call. You decide which one the problem needs — and you'll never pay us for the wrong one.

( 04 ) — how we charge

Four ways to pay us. None of them by the hour.

We publish the structure, not a number. What it costs depends on the problem — and we name the price, in full, before you commit a dollar.

  1. 01

The Diagnostic a fixed fee to name the problem and price the fix.

Every engagement starts here, and some end here. For a flat fee agreed up front, we trace the problem end to end — the process, the numbers, the people on it — and hand you two things: the problem stated in plain sentences, and a fixed price to fix it. You can take that diagnosis to us, to someone else, or do it yourself. No obligation to continue, no rolling into a retainer. If we find the problem isn't worth fixing, we'll tell you that too, and the diagnostic fee is all you'll ever pay us. draft

  2. 02

The Fixed-Price Fix one problem, one price, one date.

This is the core of how we get paid. After the diagnostic, we quote a single fixed price to deliver the fix turn-key — built, installed, proven against the baseline number we agreed on, your people trained, key in your hand. The price doesn't move when the work gets harder; that risk is ours, and it's priced in. No hourly billing, because hourly billing pays us to be slow. You know the full cost before we start, and the invoice matches it when we leave. draft

  3. 03

The Gain-Share a reduced fee up front, plus a slice of the measured improvement.

For problems where the upside is large and the baseline is cleanly measurable, we'll put our fee where our mouth is: a reduced fixed price up front, plus an agreed percentage of the verified improvement for a defined period — typically twelve months, capped, against numbers your own books produce. If the fix doesn't move the number, the slice is zero. We only offer this where measurement is unambiguous, because a gain-share built on a fuzzy baseline is a future argument, not a pricing model. draft

  4. 04

The Per-Transaction Fee a small toll on a wire we built and keep running.

Some fixes are wires that keep carrying traffic after we leave — an automated estimating pipeline, an order-flow integration, a quality gate. Where you'd rather not own the upkeep, we'll run it for a per-transaction fee: a small, published toll on each unit that crosses the wire, covering hosting, monitoring, and repair. No minimums, no platform fee — if your volume goes to zero, so does the bill. And unlike a retainer, you can take it in-house any time: turn-key still means the key is yours. draft
